Good morning, Just Jane 1813 readers. There’s nothing like starting a short work week with a fabulous new cover reveal from Meryton Press and as someone who recently read this new story, I am thrilled to share this cover reveal with all of you.
Stories such as All the Things I Know help to remind me why I love JAFF so much; what other sub-genre can offer us the wide range of storylines, settings, and romantic scenarios that JAFF delivers to its readers? This debut book by Audrey Ryan offers readers a whole new world of possibilities for Darcy and Elizabeth, as the two get to know each other when the Venetidis sisters, Jane and Elizabeth, begin their new lives together in Seattle, Washington. Just as Pride and Prejudice is Elizabeth Bennet’s coming-of-age story, All the Things I Know is Elizabeth Venetidis’ coming-of-age story told through the lens of a modern-day setting.
I’m also excited to introduce my readers to Audrey Ryan, as she visits with us today for her cover reveal…
I’m so honored you’ve chosen to host the cover reveal for my book baby — it’s hard to believe it’s here already! Zorylee Diaz-Lupitou and I worked closely together to develop the concept of this cover. I definitely had a lot of ideas that she helped refine! There are a lot of nuances in details, but the main concept is Elizabeth Bennet (Lizzie Venetidis in this adaptation) looking at her life at a crossroads as a newly minted college graduate. Her degree in art history inspired the gallery concept and the title as part of the gallery wall in a more handwritten font is like the “writing on the wall” of the path she should follow. Zorylee did an amazing job bringing this concept to life and I am in love with the finished product.
Thanks for saying hello to my Just Jane 1813 readers, Audrey!
Here’s the book description:
Lizzie Venetidis is confident in her decisions. Moving to Seattle with her sister Jane after she graduated from Stanford, for instance, was a no-brainer. Adult life, however, turns out to be more difficult to navigate than she expected.
What career should she pursue with a bachelor’s degree in art history and no marketable experience amongst a tech-heavy job market? How responsible is it to drink that fourth cocktail while out with friends? And what should she do about Darcy—the aloof yet captivating guy she met her first night in town?
All the Things I Know is a one-mistake-at-a-time retelling of Pride & Prejudice, set against the backdrop of modern-day techie Seattle. Full of wry observations, heartache, and life lessons, All the Things I Know shares the original’s lessons of correcting ill-conceived first impressions and learning who you really are.
I think you’ll love how Audrey and Zorylee translated this story into this book’s cover!
We can’t wait to hear what you think about this cover… Doesn’t it also remind you a little bit of Elizabeth Bennet looking at the portraits at Pemberley? As an art lover, I love the role that art plays throughout this story!

Meet Audrey Ryan
Audrey Ryan is the nom de plume of Andrea Pangilinan: daydreamer, wife and step-mother, and obsessive story consumer. She studied writing in college, dreamt about becoming a novelist and slowly forgot about it when real life took over. With a particular affection for contemporary retellings, adapting Pride & Prejudice to modern day has always been a dream.
When she’s not reading and writing, Andrea is a marketing slave to the internet industry. She enjoys talking crazy to her weirdo cat, consuming copious amount of wine and coffee with her girlfriends, and record shopping with her husband. Oh yeah, and there’s that small Jane Austen obsession. That doesn’t take up any time at all.
